By virtue of the Provision of Section 5 of the South African Schools Act, No. 84 of 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the "South African Schools Act"), the School Governing Body of Despatch Preparatory School has determined the Admission Policy of learners to Despatch Preparatory School to be as follows:
The Curriculum
The Foundation Phase : Grade R, Grade 1, Grade 2 & Grade 3
The Foundation Phase is a distinct curricular stage within the curriculum with its own separate character. It is tailored to suit the needs of young children.

Mini Cricket
The mini-cricket is reaching new heights every year. There are always enough learners to make at least two teams. The rules of mini-cricket ensure that each learner taking part will bat, bowl, and keep wicket and field during a game. Each learner gets an equal opportunity when playing mini-cricket. Mini-cricket is sponsored by KFC. The learners are very eager to learn about mini-cricket and are very excited to play matches against other schools.
Rugby
The rugby fever is high in our school and we start our practices early in January each year. Each Monday and Wednesday there are about 33 excited boys ready to practice rugby after school.Despatch Preparatory also has a new coach this year. We know that he will guide our team in a positive way to reach their full potential. We look forward to the upcoming events of the year and we know that our rugby team will do us proud!
